With a hook-fest downstairs, Mexican prospect Alex Rocha picked up a major five-round knockout victory over Anthony Young on Saturday night at Fantasy Springs in Indio, California, in another edition of Golden Boy Fight Night by DAZN.

With his sights set on the winner of Terence Crawford vs. Errol Spence, the reigning NABO welterweight champion got a statement message.

"I'm the number one challenger in the WBO and I want the best. I want the winner (of Spence vs. Crawford)," Rocha said.

The 25-year-old fighter said he will talk to his team, as he knows that before he can face any of the main characters of the July 29 mega-fight, he will have to wait.

Young was very brave during the contest and for the first four rounds he assimilated the hard bombs that Lex dropped on the body, but gradually the blows began to take their toll, eventually undermining him.

With this victory, Rocha improved his record to 23 wins, one loss with 15 knockouts. While Young suffered his third defeat.
