Espérance de Tunis will hope to make the most of an unpredictable draw and see if they can fly under the radar when they compete at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup .
The Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 1 heavyweights, frequent domestic champions, will make their fourth appearance at the tournament as it moves to a new format.
Success has typically eluded them beyond domestic honours in recent years however, and they will hope to spring a few surprises on their journey in the United States.
But just how did they seal their berth for the revamped Club World Cup , set to take place across the United States between June and July this year? DAZN News has all the information.
Espérance de Tunis are one of four CAF teams competing in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup and qualify as the best-ranked eligible team in the four-year ranking.
Though they have not won the CAF Champions League in the interim period of qualification, the club's strong performances there have earned them their berth here.
Espérance de Tunis have been drawn into Group D, alongside Chelsea (England), Flamengo (Brazil) and LAFC (USA).
In order to reach the knockout stages, they must first successfully navigate this opening stage where the top two teams from each group will qualify.

The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will begin on Saturday, June 14 when Inter Miami takes on Al Ahly FC at Hard Rock Stadium with the final scheduled for Sunday, July 13 at MetLife Stadium.
In total 32 teams will be competing at the Club World Cup with all international federations represented.
Inter Miami have also been give a place at the tournament as a result of the United States being the hosts.
