Porto will hope to take advantage of a position as relative underdogs when the Primeira Liga veterans make the trip to the United States for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
The Dragões, 30-time domestic champions, are one of several names who will be looking to impress in the revamped tournamnet, alongside Portuguese rivals Benfica.
While some of the continent's biggest names are notably absent, consistent performances have marked out Porto as a team who could fly under the radar this time.
But just how did they seal their berth for the revamped Club World Cup, set to take place across the United States between June and July this year? DAZN has all the information.
Porto are one of a dozen UEFA teams competing in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup and qualify as the fifth-best ranked eligible team in the four-year ranking system
A quarter-final appearance in the 2020-21 UEFA Champions League and subsequent last-16 appearances over the past two seasons have helped secure their berth.
Porto have been drawn into Group A, alongside Al Ahly (Egypt), Inter Miami (United States) and Palmeiras (Brazil).
In order to reach the knockout stages, they must first successfully navigate this opening stage where the top two teams from each group will qualify.

The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will begin on Saturday, June 14 when Inter Miami takes on Al Ahly FC at Hard Rock Stadium with the final scheduled for Sunday, July 13 at MetLife Stadium.
In total 32 teams will be competing at the Club World Cup with all international federations represented.
Inter Miami have also been give a place at the tournament as a result of the United States being the hosts.
