What is Chromecast and how is it different from Chromecast Ultra?
Chromecast is a device that plugs into the HDMI port of your TV. It’s a quick and easy way to convert your TV into a ‘smart’ TV. You send the video from the DAZN app on your smartphone to the TV using your home WiFi.

Chromecast ultra is capable of connecting via a LAN cable. Chromecast Ultra also offers ultra-high definition (4K) video. Please ensure that you are using the same internet connection when you use Chromecast.

What devices are compatible for Chromecast to view DAZN?
- Mobile phones and tablets - An iPhone or iPad running iOS13.0 or above, as well as Android phones and tablets running OS 5.0 or above.
- PC Browser- Google Chrome only.
- TV- Chromecast can be connected to any TV with an HDMI port to watch DAZN.
- TV`s with built in Chromecast are currently not compatible with DAZN.
I’ve started playing video on my TV through the Chromecast. Can I do other things on my phone while the video is on the TV screen?
Yes! You can access other features on your phone while you play videos on Chromecast.
Where is the Chromecast icon on my DAZN app and how do I connect my DAZN app to my Chromecast?
Once you’ve setup your Chromecast correctly, the Chromecast icon will appear on the top right of the DAZN app. Tap the Chromecast icon and select your Chromecast’s name. Select your video and it will start playing on your TV.
I don’t see the Chromecast icon on the top right of the DAZN app.
Please ensure the following:
- Please update to the latest version of the DAZN app
- Please update Google Play Services to the latest version if you are using version 11.0 or below.
- Is your Chromecast powered up, set up correctly, and plugged in to your TV?
I don’t know my Chromecast’s name
The standard Chromecast background has your device’s name in the bottom left. Your Chromecast will have a default name associated to it - something similar to Chromecast1234’. During the setup process you are asked to name it.

Can I pause, fast forward and rewind the video on the TV?
Yes, to all. All features can be used the same way it is used in the smartphone app.
※The 30 second fast-forward functionality is not available
Can other people use my Chromecast?
Yes, as long as they’re connected to the same WiFi network as your Chromecast. They will be able to see and connect to your Chromecast after tapping on the Chromecast icon and selecting its name.
