Why do I need to Opt In to Location Settings on my mobile device?

Due to third party rights restrictions, DAZN is unable to stream certain games to certain geographical areas. In order to determine whether mobile users are within such an area, DAZN uses Android or iOS Location Services.  Therefore, you may be asked to Opt In to the use of Location Services when you select certain games on your mobile device. If you do not Opt In when prompted to do so, you will be unable to watch games which are subject to geographical playback restrictions.

Once you have Opted In to Location Services on your iOS or Android mobile device, it is possible to Opt Out by going to your device’s main Settings area, selecting Privacy, then Permissions and Location Services. If you Opt Out you will be unable to watch games which are subject to geographical playback restrictions, wherever you are, until you Opt back In.

You do not need to Opt In to Location Services on PC or TV devices in order to watch games which are subject to geographical rights restrictions. These platforms block playback of such games on the basis of your IP address.
