Will Ospreay reveals AEW All In Wembley wish after winning 1PW world titleDAZN

Will Ospreay was once again in winning form on Saturday night as he captured the 1PW world title after returning to the ring for the first time since enduring a shoulder injury in March.

With his next defence already confirmed, a showdown with Matt Cardona in Lincoln on June 10, Ospreay is aiming for a busy summer and as well as representing 1PW as their champion, the Essex man is also hopeful of appearing at AEW’s inaugural U.K. show.

After defeating Bobby Fish in the evening’s opening bout, Ospreay advanced to the main event where he was opposed by Mark Haskins, Cara Noir, and Lance Archer.

Following a gripping battle, Ospreay was able to secure the win, and now his focus switches to numerous challenges including a spot at Wembley on August 27.

AEW’s British debut, titled ‘All In’, will see the thriving company make their long-awaited bow across the ocean away from their familiar North American setting.

Ospreay has a ton of history with the Florida based company, most notably his Forbidden Door appearance against Orange Cassidy in 2022, and he’d relish the opportunity to appear there again.

“It’s 45 minutes away from where I live,” said Ospreay during an exclusive chat with DAZN at 1PW’s All or Nothing event.

“I have no expectations to be on that show because I don’t work for the company, and it should be an AEW presented show. It’s because I’ve worked there a little bit and I continue to have a good relationship with Tony [Khan].

“I do think that if you want the best chance of selling that place out, you need to have your finger in every single pie.

“This needs to be the biggest variety show of all time. If there is a spot, I’d forever be grateful to walk down Wembley Stadium and I’d find a way of sneaking my parents into the stadium.

“It would mean a lot but I also understand I don’t work there. If there is an opportunity, then I’ll take it with both hands.”
