The Browns have agreed fresh terms with one of their newest players.

The Cleveland Browns have agreed a big-money contract extension with their new wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.

The Browns landed Jeudy in a trade from the Denver Broncos last week, swapping their 2024 fifth and sixth-round draft picks for the 24-year-old.

According to the NFL Network, the deal is a three-year contract extension worth up to $58million that includes $41million of guaranteed money for the 2020 first-round draft pick.

Jeudy has not yet matched the feats of some of the other receivers that went in the 2020 first round, such as CeeDee Lamb, Justin Jefferson and Brandon Aiyuk, and the Browns will likely install him as the number two wideout behind Amari Cooper.

This news comes after Cleveland.com report that Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson stepped up his recovery from the season-ending shoulder surgery he underwent in November.

They claim that he may begin light throwing on Tuesday, as Watson looks ahead to the Browns’ offseason programme. The team have signed Jamies Winston and Tyler Huntley during free agency in order to add depth and competition at quarterback.
