Jamaine Ortiz has underlined his desire to make the most of his bout with Keyshawn Davis, as he bids to underline his super-lightweight credentials.

The pair meet this month in the co-main event at The Ring 6, live from New York City's Madison Square Garden exclusively on DAZN Pay-Per-View.

With just two professional losses to Vasiliy Lomachenko and Teofimo Lopez, Ortiz is hopeful he can push for major belts in the division going forward.

That requires a triumph against ex-WBO lightweight champion Davis, who is also seeking to make further waves in a second class after prior success.

Speaking to The Ring, Ortiz insists he will seize his opportunity with both hands, while paying tribute to the strength that his opponent offers in the ring.

"I was just praying for moments where I could be on a card like this and showcase my skills and be on the world's biggest stage and platform," he said.

"It’s finally here. I'm truly blessed and honored and excited to showcase my talent and what I could do. He's a good opponent. He's a strong fighter.

"He's a solid fighter. He has experience, a lot of amateur experience as well. At this level, that's what you expect to face. Top-level competition, great fighters,

"You're not going to be fighting bums, especially if you want to be great. It's going to be a clash. It's going to be a great fight. It's definitely going to steal the show."
