Ole Miss (#6) @ Georgia (#8)
As things stand, both of these teams are in the thick of the playoff hunt.
The Rebels have stormed to a 6-0 start, and with a win over Georgia this weekend, would make it 7-0 for only the third time in 60 years. They're also eyeing their first 4-0 conference record since 2014.
Quarterback Trinidad Chambliss, an early contender for the Heisman after a series of outstanding performances, will have another chance to prove his worth in this, his first road game in the SEC.
Ole Miss will undoubtedly need running back Kewan Lacy to be at his best. He's been a standout performer for Lane Kiffin's side, ranking 14th among all college running backs and 2nd in the SEC with 587 rushing yards .
This Georgia team is built for big occasions like these. Their loss to Alabama in late September would have shaken the confidence of other teams.
But head coach Kirby Smart, who boasts an .847 winning record and two national championships, has them back on track with wins over Kentucky and Auburn.
Quarterback Gunner Stockton has quickly made his mark as a true dual-threat playmaker, earning early comparisons to former Bulldog great Stetson Bennett.
But in a matchup of this magnitude, Georgia might need him to channel a little of Matt Stafford’s arm talent to come out on top.
It's a heavyweight clash between two teams that rank in our top eight. This is must-watch football.
Recent meetings
Ole Miss has had Georgia’s number recently, winning two of the past three meetings after a decade of Bulldog dominance.
