Texas A&M (#3) @ LSU (#20)
Texas A&M keeps rolling. They're 7-0, have steadily climbed in our power rankings, and are in a great position to secure a first-round bye in the playoffs.
Aggies quarterback Marcel Reed has been electric this year and has finally cracked the top five in our Heisman race rankings.
With the help of an ascending wideout, Mario Craver, Reed will look to keep the offense rolling this week against an injury-depleted LSU defense.
LSU QB Garrett Nussmeier has been inconsistent while playing through injury, and will be under no illusions that this clash is crucial after dropping games against Ole Miss and Vanderbilt.
Beating the Aggies is a big ask for the him and the 5-2 Tigers, especially when they're facing a talented Texas defense that features edge rusher Cashius Howell.
However, if Nussmeier can rediscover his "swagger" and take advantage of playing at home, we cannot rule out an upset. The only thing we can be certain of is that both teams will be leaving it all on the line.
