Week 15 of the 2025 NFL season brings a massive AFC East showdown in the 6pm Sunday window, with the Buffalo Bills (9-4) heading to Foxborough to take on the New England Patriots (11-2).
Both teams arrive with plenty on the line. Buffalo are coming off another wild finish that reminded everyone how dangerous they can be when it all clicks, while New England sees this as a real opportunity to iron out the cracks.
With the AFC playoff picture seemingly going down to the wire, this game between the No.1 and No.5 teams in our latest power rankings is must-watch football.
The good news? With DAZN's latest Game Pass offer, you can watch this clash on demand, and every game through to the Super Bowl, from just £29.99.
The Bills roll in still buzzing from one of their most dramatic wins of the year, the latest reminder that quarterback Josh Allen is capable of heroics when games are on the line.
At the same time, Buffalo know they have been flirting with danger. Wild finishes won’t always cut it in January when they face stronger teams than the Bengals.
Offensively, the blueprint seems simple: Let Allen - the Offensive Player of the Week and reigning MVP - do his thing and keep leaning on tailback James Cook to control the tempo and clock.
On defense, the secondary has held up relatively well, with second-year safety Cole Bishop emerging as a difference maker, and edge rusher Greg Rousseau playing at a level that belies his low sack tally.
But the injury situation isn't ideal. Linebacker Terrel Bernard (elbow), edge rusher Joey Bosa (hamstring, wrist), and offensive tackle Spencer Brown (shoulder) were limited in Wednesday's practice.
At least tight end Dalton Kincaid (knee) is trending in the right direction. On a team devoid of any standout wideouts, the 26-year-old is a crucial part of the offense, ranking second in receiving yardage despite missing four games.
Drake Maye is the talk of the NFL. The second-year player has enjoyed a remarkable season, becoming a frontrunner in the MVP award race after inspiring his side to 10 straight wins.
As impressive as he has been, this is the sort of game that really tests how far along he is. The Patriots need Maye to be as sharp and decisive as he has been against inferior opponents.
Tight end Hunter Henry and veteran wideout Stefon Diggs - who returns to face the team where he enjoyed the four most productive years of his career - remain the go-to options in the passing game.
Diggs sounds motivated to do what he can to help the Patriots walk away with the W.
On the ground, TreVeyon Henderson and Rhamondre Stevenson are an excellent one-two punch, the former providing the score-from-anywhere lightning and the latter, the hard-yardage thunder.
Defensively, New England have performed well, ranking fifth among all teams in allowing only 18.5 points per game. How the unit copes if Harold Landry (knee) and Christian Barmore miss the contest could decide the outcome.
The Patriots desperately need a win here to keep pressure on the Denver Broncos in the fight for the No.1 seed. If they can do so, and with Denver playing a strong Packers side, the odds could be flipped.
A Bills win would strengthen their position in a crowded AFC field. More than that, though, is the statement that a victory over New England would send to other playoff contenders.
New England’s defense should have spells where they throw Buffalo off rhythm, and Maye has shown enough to suggest he won’t shy away from the moment.
But if the Bills find balance early on offense and the pass rush can unsettle the young Patriots' signal-caller, the visitors could easily edge this.
Mathematically, home-field advantage isn't as great as some believe, but in a game that's relatively even on paper, that factor could make the difference.
Bills 24 - 33 Patriots
