NFL Week 8 Power Rankings: Colts secure top spot, Eagles, Chiefs rise & Jets remain dormant

NFL Game Pass sale - Week 8 pass for just 99p

We're seven weeks into the NFL season, and there are surprises around the league. It's still early, but some of the teams we initially thought would be contenders are slipping, while many of the underdogs have surpassed expectations.

As Week 8 begins on Thursday night with Vikings vs. Chargers, live with NFL Game Pass on DAZN (excl. the US and China), let's take a look at how teams currently stack up in our power rankings.

NFL Game Pass ROW

1) Indianapolis Colts (6-1, Up 1): We keep waiting for Daniel Jones to falter and slip up. To this point, he hasn't. The Colts will go as far as Jones will take them and right now that is among the elite teams in the NFL. And now, the Colts are on top of the proverbial mountain.

2) Green Bay Packers (4-1-1, Up 1): Micah Parsons showed why he's the best defensive end in the NFL with three sacks against the Cardinals. Now, it's Parsons' former team on Sunday, the best offense in the league, the Cowboys.

3) Detroit Lions (5-2, Up 1): The defense did all the heavy lifting on Monday night.

4) Philadelphia Eagles (5-2, Up 3): The Super Bowl champions got back on track, led by Jalen Hurts, realizing he's got two dangerous weapons in AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith.

5) Buffalo Bills (4-2, Up 1): The Bills looked out of sync the last two weeks. Last week's bye came at a good time.

6) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-2, Down 5): The Bucs reign on top lasted one week as they had their worst game of the season in Detroit.

7) Kansas City Chiefs (4-3, Up 1): Patrick Mahomes with back-to-back weeks of three touchdown passes.

8) Seattle Seahawks (5-1, Up 1): The defense struggled mightily and needs to shore things up.

9) Los Angeles Rams (5-2, Up 5): Five touchdown passes from Matthew Stafford is what the doctor ordered.

10)  New England Patriots (5-2, Up 1): Drake Maye with another solid performance.

11) Chicago Bears (4-2, Up 3): The run game led by D'Andre Swift and the defense led by Montez Sweat has the Bears on a four-game winning streak with an easy schedule for the next couple weeks.

12) Denver Broncos (5-2, Up 1): A comeback for the ages with a 33-point fourth quarter highlighted by four touchdowns courtesy of Bo Nix.

13) San Francisco 49ers (5-2, Up 2): George Kittle is back, and so are the 49ers.

14) Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2, Down 9): That's a game the Steelers can't lose and will want that one back.

15) Dallas Cowboys (3-3-1, Up 5): The offense is showing up every week and is more dangerous now with Ceedee Lamb's return on Sunday

16) Los Angeles Chargers (4-3, Down 4) It's difficult to know which Chargers team is going to show up.

17) Minnesota Vikings (3-3, Even): They were in the game until the very end. Offense needs a spark and in a hurry.

18) Atlanta Falcons (3-4, Down 2): A letdown performance considering how well they played last Monday night against the Bills.

Washington Commanders (3-3, Down 4): A lapse in judgment by Jayden Daniels cost the Commanders a golden opportunity to even things in the division with the Eagles.

19) Carolina Panthers (4-3, Up 5): Who saw this coming? Raise your hand.

20) New York Giants (2-4, Up 3): Normally, losing doesn't get rewarded. But it does here. Jaxson Dart is showing great progression and it took a miracle for the Giants to lose.

21) Cincinnati Bengals (3-4, Up 8 ): Joe Flacco proved us wrong and defied Father Time with a massive win over the Steelers.

22) Jacksonville Jaguars (4-3, Down 3): Another down game for Trevor Lawrence, and the defense fell on its face at their home away from home in London.

Las Vegas Raiders (2-3, Up 5): The Titans are what the Raiders ordered up. Ashton Jeanty got into the end zone, and Geno Smith threw a touchdown pass.

23) Washington Commanders (3-4, Down 5): Let's hope Jayden Daniels isn't out again for an extended period.

24) Houston Texans (2-5, Down 3): Tough loss in a game they were competitive in, especially on the defensive side.

25) Arizona Cardinals (2-5, Even): Played much better than expected against the Packers. Can't blow leads like that, especially at home and think you will win.

26) Baltimore Ravens (1-5, Down 4): Problems on both sides of the ball continue to persist with Lamar Jackson still out of action.

27) Cleveland Browns (2-5, Up 3): Dillon Gabriel made no mistakes, and Quinshon Jenkins carried the load with three rushing touchdowns.

28) Tennessee Titans (1-5, Even): Even firing the head coach wasn't the recipe for success.

29) Las Vegas Raiders (2-4, Down 7): Both sides of the ball were flat and it showed against the Chiefs.

30) New Orleans Saints (1-6, Down 3): The defense was putrid in giving up 222 yards to the Bears, and the offense was no better. Will they trade Alvin Kamara?

31) Miami Dolphins (1-6, Even): How does Mike McDaniel still have his job?

32) New York Jets (0-7, Even): The only winless team in the NFL, and now Justin Fields has been benched.
