Ravens eye revenge on Bengals to stay alive

The Baltimore Ravens committed five turnovers in a terrible 32-14 home loss to the Cincinnati Bengals two weeks ago, before losing to another division rival in the Pittsburgh Steelers this past Sunday.

That dropped their chances of making the playoffs to roughly 30 percent. Two-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson and the Ravens (6-7) will need to take care of the ball this time around on the road against the Cincinnati Bengals (4-9).

Suffering a season sweep at the hands of the Bengals would essentially spell doom for the Ravens who have a stiff gauntlet of the New England Patriots (11-2), Green Bay Packers (9-3-1) and Steelers (7-6) as their remaining games on the season.

Bills visit Patriots in big division matchup

Josh Allen 16x9

Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills already lost to the New England Patriots back in Week 5.

If the Patriots (11-2) make it a sweep of their rival Bills (9-4) Sunday at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts will clinch their first AFC East division title since 2019.

Their Week 5 matchup had Drake Maye airing it out for 273 yards, while Rhamondre Stevenson punched in two touchdowns. Stefon Diggs also had 10 catches for 146 yards.

That victory was part of the Patriots driving their win streak up to 10 games as it stands now, tied with the Denver Broncos for the best record in the league.

Maye only trails Dak Prescott in passing yards with 3,412.

Broncos can clinch playoff spot as Packers visit Mile High

The Denver Broncos (11-2), winners of a blazing 10 straight games, can clinch a playoff berth with a home win over the Green Bay Packers (9-3-1) at Empower Field at Mile High on Sunday afternoon.

The Packers come in hot, too, having won four straight games including defeating NFC North rivals Detroit Lions and the Chicago Bears over the past two weeks.

Jordan Love shredded secondaries for 468 passing yards and seven touchdowns in those two wins, but will be up against a stingy Broncos’ defense which is allowing just 18.1 points per game.

A victory and the Packers will strengthen their own chances to win the division.

The question is … could this be a potential Super Bowl preview?

Rams look to secure playoff berth, host Lions

Matthew Stafford, 37, is playing some of the best football of his career, comfortably leading all quarterbacks with 35 touchdown passes this season.

Last week, he tossed three TDs with wideout Puka Nacua hauling in seven receptions for 167 yards and two of those touchdowns.

That is part of the force the Detroit Lions will have to contend with Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams (10-3) at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

A win and the Rams can clinch a playoff berth.

Meanwhile, Jahmyr Gibbs and the Lions have a 55 percent chance of still making the playoffs, but a loss to the Rams will make their postseason path tougher.

Colts, Seahawks trending in opposite directions

Jaxon Smith-Njigba 16x9

The Seattle Seahawks (10-3) enter Sunday’s hosting duties against the Indianapolis Colts (8-5) hot, having architected a three-game win streak and in position to still possibly win the NFC West division.

Last week, they beat up on a struggling Atlanta Falcons behind Sam Darnold’s 249 passing yards and three touchdowns, with Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s hauling in seven receptions for 92 yards and two TDs.

That spells bad news for the Colts who enter the game mired in a three-game skid, having taken costly losses to the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars during the past two weeks — and worse still, lost their quarterback Daniel Jones for the remainder of the season due to a torn Achilles.

The Colts have signed Philip Rivers, 44, out of retirement but face a daunting task to make the postseason cut.
