DAZN, the global sports media and entertainment platform, today announced the launch of “The Link” with Diana Taurasi, a bold new original series hosted by the WNBA legend and produced and distributed in collaboration with its social-first publishing division, Team Whistle.
With 87% of sports fans eager for more female-led programming, The Link introduces a first-of-its-kind format that reimagines the traditional talk show.
Over eight episodes, Diana Taurasi swaps deep three-pointers for long drives, going shot-for-shot and story-for-story with some of the biggest names in sports and culture.
Blending golf-inspired challenges with candid conversation, the series unlocks raw stories, viral moments, and playful competition - anchored by Taurasi’s trademark humor and edge.
CarMax is a launch sponsor, furthering its commitment as an NBA and WNBA sponsor, and activating around its new campaign featuring Paige Bueckers.
The show launches with Paige Bueckers, the reigning rookie of the year, and mentee of Diana Taurasi. In addition to Paige Bueckers, other confirmed guests are Chris Paul, Sue Bird, Kevin Garnett, Devin Booker, Sofi Tukker, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Reggie Bush.
Timed to coincide with the NBA season and running all the way through to the Women’s March Madness Final Four in Taurasi’s hometown of Phoenix, The Link spotlights the shared connection between the biggest stars in sports through humor, fun, and authenticity.
Hero episodes will premiere across Whistle’s YouTube and Facebook channels, alongside DAZN’s global OTT platform. Additional short-form content will roll out across YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and X via Whistle Social, and Diana Taurasi’s own channels — ensuring fans can connect with the series wherever they consume content.
"At DAZN and Whistle, we are committed to pushing the boundaries of sports storytelling,” said Joe Caporoso, President at DAZN’s Whistle.
“The Link is a perfect example of how we’re creating original formats that resonate with fans across platforms, while spotlighting one of the most iconic female athletes of our time in Diana Taurasi.”
