Anthony Yarde returns to action later this month, but the London light-heavyweight is not looking at showdown with Ben Whittaker at this stage.

Whittaker is also competing in April as he looks to settle his rivalry with Liam Cameron on Easter Sunday following their controversial battle last year .

30% discount sale: UK customers buy a DAZN annual subscription for just £83.99 (from £119.99) to watch over 185 fights per year. That's just £1.61 per week.

The Wolverhampton man was unable to continue his first contest with Cameron after both men went over the ropes, and the bout was scored a draw when it went to the judges

The pair have had plenty to say since the incident and they will finally renew hostilities on April 20 with the winner expected to push on towards British title level.

For Yarde, his goal is becoming world champion after falling short in his previous two efforts against Sergey Kovalev and Artur Beterbiev.

Yarde faces Lyndon Arthur on the huge Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn bill , live on DAZN , on April 26.

Despite recognising Whittaker’s talent, Yarde has insisted that the 2020 Olympic star is nowhere near ready to step into the ring with himself.

“I feel like it's a little bit too early. A few more fights, I feel like it will make more sense," said Yarde when speaking to  Sky Sports

"If I fought Ben Whittaker now, I'm just being honest, it would be too early for him. It would be too early for him. That's my opinion. Because I feel I can beat anybody in the world. Each loss at world level, I've always come back better.

"The reason for that is because I've always been learning on the job. Sometimes, most times, my undoing has been my experience. So, I feel like my experience is making me better each time."
