Plans for 'The Surgeon' look to be a foregone conclusion after promoter Hearn revealed he would make the trip across the Atlantic Ocean next.
Whittaker is due to make his US debut on the Xander Zayas-Jaron Ennis undercard at Brooklyn's Barclays Center in New York City on June 27.
No opponent has been ironed out for the star yet, but the West Bromwich native has already outlined hopes to fight at least four times this year.
Speculation of a November homecoming in the West Midlands against Anthony Yarde would represent a new level of foe for the Olympian though.

Matters will be more complex for the Argentine, who was effectively dismissed as the latest stepping stone for his opponent in rather brutal fashion.
