The Mexican boxer will have to define his next opponent for May.

The obligatory question for Saul Alvarez after his 60th career victory is, will David Benavidez be his next opponent? And the Mexican answered as honestly as possible:

“It's a fact that I'm coming back on 5 May, with whoever. Don't fu***** care" he said, still in the ring where he got the victory over Jermell Charlo in the first meeting between undisputed fighters.

For years, the fighter with Mexican blood has sought out Canelo Alvarez and has challenged him in every possible way, without achieving his goal. But now with the contractual changes, his dream can come true.

In a post-fight interview, Eddy Reynoso - Canelo's trainer - revealed that among the options on the table, Benavidez is not alone, as they are also considering a rematch against Dmitrii Bivol or a fight with former Mexican champion Jaime Munguía.

With the win over Jermell Charlo, Canelo improved his record to 60-2-2, 39 KOs, and became the first undisputed fighter in the four-belt era to accumulate three defenses.
