Ben Shalom is hoping that victory for Chris Eubank Jr over Conor Benn this weekend will pave the way for a showdown with Canelo Alvarez.
Eubank Jr and Benn will collide in one of the year’s biggest fights so far and the hatred between the pair has made the build-up intense throughout.
The fighters were set to meet in 2022, but that contest was called off following an issue with Benn’s drug test, but that incident only made the situation worse.
Once the fight is out the way, attention will turn to the following week in Saudi Arabia when Canelo looks to become undisputed champion at 168lbs for a second time when he meets William Scull, live on DAZN PPV, on May 3.
If Canelo is victorious, Eubank Jr will be eager to return to super-middleweight and his promoter has spoken about that potential clash.
"Eubank against Canelo is the fight Chris wants. This is a two-fight deal against Conor Benn, you'd expect one to happen now and one possibly in October, and then it's the big one against Canelo,” said Shalom when speaking to Sky Sports .
"That will ultimately be the dream fight we want and that's a fight His Excellency (Turki Alalshikh) can make as well, so for Chris that's certainly the next opponent we want."
Fight fans are in for a treat at the end of April / start of May, with three amazing fight cards within seven days - and DAZN PPV is the only place to watch them all.
