Chris Eubank Jr revealed his relationship with his father has grown since they reconciled before the Conor Benn fight, but Eubank Sr does not want to see him fight again.
Appearing on Loose Women, Eubank Jr said that his father is still against the rematch, even after he made his dramatic last-minute entrance at the first fight to support his son.
Eubank Jr said: "I'm scheduled to fight again November 15th, it's a rematch, and my father wasn't going to come to the first one. He called me the night before, and our relationship has grown since then, but he doesn't want me to get back into the ring."
In the build-up to the first fight, Eubank Sr was outspoken on the fight being cancelled over the dangers posed by the weight limitations put on his son, calling it and his son a “disgrace”.
Eubank Sr said to iFL TV: “My son coming down from 168lbs to 160lbs puts his life in danger, because I know what it is to lose that type of weight.

“Conor [Benn], they are destroying his career if they haven’t already destroyed it”
“This is a disgrace…Yes, I said it, and you should all say it.”
Eubank Jr and Benn ended up putting on one of the fights of the year - going to war for 12 rounds and ‘Next Gen’ emerged victorious, but both men were left with severe damage had to go to hospital afterwards. This, according to Eubank Jr, is what concerns his father, not his ability to win the rematch.
He said: "He's still worried even though I won the first fight. I was in the hospital for a few days, and he doesn't want me to go through that again. For this fight, I think he's going to be a lot more supportive."
Despite his father’s wishes, Eubank Jr will enter the ring against Benn again on November 15 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the hopes of putting an end to the cross-generational family feud.
