In 17 days' time, Conor Benn will headline one of the most talked about fights in British boxing history, as he finally settles his rivalry with bitter enemy Chris Eubank Jr, live on DAZN PPV.
After one postponed fight, endless insulants, and numerous face-off clashes, Eubank Jr and Benn will step into the ring on Saturday April 26 at a sold out Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with millions watching around the world.
It will be the latest chapter in a 30-year family feud, started by their fathers, Chris Sr and Nigel, back in the 1990s, while it also represents Benn's return to British boxing, fighting in the UK for the first time in three years.
The setting, crowd, storyline and attention will be a far cry from Benn's professional debut, nine years ago today, April 9, 2016.
Benn, now 23-0 (14 KO's), fought Bulgaria Ivaylo Boyanov at the O2 Arena back in 2016. The budding 19-year-old wasted no time in impressing, scoring a TKO victory within the first round.
That would set off a career that has yet to taste a professional debut, but one that has been on an enforced hiatus after returning an adverse finding to a drugs test ahead of his originally planned fight with Eubank Jr in 2022.
Now, on the verge of the biggest fight of his career, the 28-year-old has posted on social media reflecting on those nine years and the position he now finds himself in.
Benn, speaking while topless, said on X: "Nine years ago today I made my debut. What a blessing.
"It is mad to think how far I've come. In 17 days I will headline my first stadium show and my first PPV. I'm excited. It is all in God's plan."
"Nine years ago, did I think I would be headlining a stadium fight in a fight that will go down in British history? Probably not, but life is a blessing and full of adversity."
Victory over Eubank Jr on April 26 will not just be a huge notch in the Benn family belt, but will present the opportunity for Conor to begin rebuilding his career and potentially kickstart the journey to a world title shot.
Fight fans are in for a treat at the end of April / start of May, with three amazing fight cards within seven days - and DAZN PPV is the only place to watch them all.
Arch rivals Eubank Jr. and Benn finally go head-to-head to start the exhilarating week, with PPV prices at £21.99 in the UK; $24.99 in the US; €24.99 in Europe.
Garcia vs. Romero and Canelo vs. Scull fight nights follow, which will both be exclusively on DAZN. These two PPV's prices are yet to be confirmed.
