After a disappointing defeat to domestic rival Joe Joyce last November, Daniel Dubois returns to the ring taking on Romania’s Bogdan Dinu.
Dubois had won all 15 of his fights before facing Joyce where he dropped to his knee to take a count in the tenth round due to a severely swollen eye, it was later revealed Dubois had a broken orbital bone and nerve damage around his left eye.
In addition to recovering from two serious injuries, Dubois has moved on from his trainer Martin Bowers and has now linked up with Shane McGuigan after a brief spell with Mark Tibbs.
Dinu will be no easy test, however. The 34-year-old boasts a record of 20-2 and will be looking to take advantage of any potential Dubois nerves, rust or complacency following a damaging first pro loss.
Here’s how you can watch Dubois vs. Dinu.
The Dubois vs. Dinu card takes place this coming Saturday, and the main bill of fights is set to commence from 19:00 local time. Main event ringwalks are anticipated on or just after 22:00 local time, though as ever with live boxing that will depend on how long the undercard runs.
BT Sport 1 will broadcast the fight in the UK, a broadcaster for the US is still to be announced.
The card will take place at the Telford International Centre where 1,000 fans will be in attendance.
