The two lightweight champions could meet later this year.

Devin Haney is confident that George Kambosos Jr. has never faced a fighter with his talents before.

Last year Kambosos upset Teofimo Lopez to become the unified title holder at lightweight, with Haney’s WBC belt standing in the way of the Australian declaring himself the undisputed fighter at 135lbs.

That has led to speculation that Kambosos and Haney will face one another to settle the status of the division’s best champion, though the next fight for either champion is yet to be confirmed.

Speaking to IFL TV, Haney discussed if he had the talents to beat Kambosos.

“I got so many different styles, it depends what style I bring out on the night,” he said. “But obviously my style is number one, my ring IQ. It will be something totally different to what he’s used to.”

The 23-year-old American acknowledged that Kambosos is no pushover, but questioned whether his speed was as devastating as some claimed.

“I take my hat off to him, he’s a great fighter, but he’ll see something different when he gets in the ring with me.

“He had speed. It's more about timing with me. You can be the fastest fighter in the world but if you're swinging at air then what does it matter?”
