Lopez vs Stevenson - Lopez lights up New York City in up and down thriller

Teofimo Lopez will return to New York City on January 31st when he defends his world super-lightweight title against Shakur Stevenson in a mouthwatering clash . 

Lopez has mixed memories in his home city as it is the place where he has become world champion on two occasions, but also the location where he suffered his sole loss. 

In 2021, Lopez was dropped in the opening round against Geoge Kambosos before rallying superbly to make it a close bout where he was eventually beaten on the scorecards.
