This entire fight week for The Ring’s Fatal Fury: Times Square, Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney have talked about clashing again in a highly-anticipated grudge match.
In order for that to happen, Garcia will need to find a way to defeat a rugged, game Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero and Haney must defeat Jose Ramirez on Friday night, live and exclusively on DAZN PPV.
Will Haney prove there are indeed sweet science levels separating he and Ramirez? Or will Ramirez, a former unified super lightweight world champion, shock the 'Dream' in Times Square for the world to see?
DAZN News analyzes the keys to victory for both fighters heading into their clash.

Haney’s jab is crisp, clean and accurate.
When it is asserted, the former undisputed lightweight world champion uses it as a masterful tool to keep distance and be a pragmatic ring general.
Him keeping Ramirez at the end of that stick will work wonders in dissolving Ramirez' pressure and forward-fighting offense.
It will also allow Haney to keep racking up the points and rounds.
As Ramirez charges forward, the slightest slip and step back could re-establish Haney’s outside range where he tends to pick opponents apart with punch selection beginning with the jab.
Haney used former two-time super lightweight world champion Regis Prograis’ aggression against him for a unanimous decision win in December 2023. He did the same twice in 2022 against George Kambosos Jr., and again before that to Joseph Diaz Jr in December 2021.
Some movement and clean punching can make the aggressor the victim quickly — this time around with the latter being Ramirez.
Once Haney’s jab is established, he can start piecing together some slicing combinations behind it.
This entire fight week, the former undisputed lightweight king has been saying that he is going to show he is levels above Ramirez to force a rematch with Ryan Garcia.
As long as Haney doesn’t leave himself vulnerable and stays composed while launching his combinations, there is a solid chance of him meeting his rival once again.
It is no secret that Ramirez is going to pressure Haney. He said it himself.
Whether Haney’s jab redirects that pursuit remains to be seen. Though, truth be told, Ramirez might need to be willing to eat a few of those jabs if it means landing something more impactful in return.
Making deposits to the body that forces Haney’s respect could pave the way for the “Dream” to lower his hands just enough for Ramirez to land something devastating upstairs.
Therefore, he must attack the body especially early.
Although Haney moves around the ring swiftly, it takes just a second to detonate something raucous and unforeseen.
That’s exactly what Ramirez did way back in July 2019 buzzing Maurice Hooker up against the ropes with a vicious left hook before unloading a barrage to knock him out on his feet.
Ryan Garcia had success with his vaunted left hook against Haney, and Ramirez can, too, if he loads up, sits on the shot and unleashes it at the right time — all things the former unified champ is capable of doing really well.
