Elle Brooke is predicting victory in arguably her toughest test since stepping into a boxing ring as she takes on combat sports veteran Paige VanZant this weekend at MF & DAZN: X Series 15, live on DAZN.
Brooke became the MFB women's middleweight champion with a stoppage victory over AJ Bunker at X Series 12, but now she must take on former UFC star VanZant in her first defence.
Despite making her pro boxing debut at Saturday's event, VanZant brings with her a wealth of experience as an MMA fighter and bare knuckle boxer. However, Brooke seems unfazed by her opponent's accolades, confident that her punching power will give her the upper hand when the women square off in Houston.
“I absolutely believe I will knock her out," Brooke told noKYC. "I think that I have a great chance.
"This is my first pro fight and it’s in eight ounce gloves. I’m a puncher anyway, let alone in eight ounces. I know that I can do some damage.
"You could say she’s used to taking knees and elbows but if I hit someone continually with my right hand, no matter who they are, they’re going to go down.”
