Frazer Clarke vs Jeamie TKV British heavyweight title fight set to be postponed after injury blow, claims report

Parker vs Wardley exclusively on DAZN PPV - Oct 25

The British heavyweight title fight between Frazer Clarke and Jeamie TKV is reportedly set to be postponed from its initial October 25 date.

The show was supposed to be British Boxing’s comeback to the BBC after almost 20 years off the air.

Clarke and TKV were supposed to fight for the British title left vacant by David Adeleye, but TKV has injured his rib in training, according to a report from The Ring

The show initially clashed with another big heavyweight fight - Joseph Parker vs Fabio Wardley on DAZN – reports suggest November 29 is being looked at as an alternative date for the bout.

But the proposed revised date would still clash with Ben Whittaker’s Matchroom debut on DAZN at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham if it goes ahead for November 29.

Shalom could try and replace TKV last minute, but it is reported that the British Boxing Board of Control have not put forward any suggestions. But if Clarke and TKV do fight on a postponed date, then it will still be for the vacant title.

Clarke recently earned a bounce-back TKO win over Ebenezer Tetteh, stopping the Ghanian in the first round after a devastating first-round knockout loss to Fabio Wardley last year in Riyadh.

Claiming the British title would be a big boost to the 34-year-old’s momentum in trying to get his career back on track.

The pullout would be a blow to TKV, who is also hoping for a comeback of his own after he suffered his second career loss to Adeleye via sixth-round knockout earlier this year for the British title.
