Leonard Ellerbe will be a keen spectator when Gervonta Davis takes on Frank Martin this weekend with lightweight honours on the line.
Davis is one of boxing’s biggest stars and a win over Martin can pave the way towards bigger contests.
Davis is amongst multiple weight classes and there’s a number of intriguing showdowns that could feature the Baltimore man.
One of those huge encounters is against Shakur Stevenson and Ellerbe, the CEO at Mayweather Promotions, has had his say on that matter.
“Trust me, Shakur is going to get that work. He’s asking,” said Ellerbe when speaking to Fight Hub TV.
“He’s going to get that work, but it ain’t what he thinks it is. But I can’t wait for it to happen, though.”
