Having previously shared the ring together, Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will go head-to-head again – with a friendly $1m wager over the winner of the trilogy bout between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano.
Victorious in her two previous fights with Serrano, Irish fighter Taylor will look to defend her undisputed super lightweight crown this Friday, July 11. It is an boxing-filled weekend in New York City, with the Ring III show headlined by Hamzah Sheeraz and Edgar Berlanga taking place the following evening, live on DAZN PPV.
Paul, who runs Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), the organisers of Friday’s card, posted a video on social media of a FaceTime call he had with Tyson, the former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.
Last November the pair headlined an event in Arlington, Texas, Paul beating the much-older Tyson on a card that also featured the second Taylor-Serrano fight. Over 65m watched the main event, with broadcaster Netflix stating that 50m saw the bout between Taylor and Serrano.
Serrano and Taylor first met in 2022 at Madison Square Garden, which will also be the venue for their third bout.
The entire card is filled with fights between women, including six world championship bouts.

After exchanging pleasantries, Paul told Tyson: “A lot of people are saying that Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor’s fight was better than ours. They’re fighting again this weekend – I've got Amanda.”
Tyson then replied, stating that he would be backing Taylor to make repeat the trick a third time.
That prompted Paul to suggest a bet – with the ‘Problem Child’ putting $1million on a Serrano win, whilst Tyson wagered the same amount on a Taylor victory.
If Serrano wins on Friday, Paul will pocket $1million from ‘Iron Mike’, whilst Tyson will double his money if Taylor repeats the same result from the preceding two fights.
Tyson then added another condition, stating that Paul must also take him out for dinner if he won the bet.
It is no surprise that Paul is backing Serrano following the news that the Puerto Rican had signed a life-long contract with MVP, covering the rest of her fighting career before allowing her to take up a role as chairwoman.
