Promoter Kalle Sauerland has presented the controversial YouTube star/boxer with an interesting proposal.

Jake Paul, the YouTube star who has drawn large crowds to his three boxing contests so far against fellow non-boxers including former NBA star Nate Robinson and former UFC grappler Ben Askren, has been offered a shot at a legitimate world champion — albeit with a stipulation.

Kalle Sauerland, who represents current IBF and The Ring cruiserweight champion and Muhammad Ali Trophy winner Mairis Briedis, says he would promote a title defence for the Latvian against Paul if the celebrity were to agree to leave the sport alone if he were unsuccessful.

"Hey Jake Paul - happy to arrange you taking a shot at Mairis Briedis' belts, only condition if you lose you have to leave boxing... Deal?," said Sauerland on social media.

Paul, currently 3-0 in the ring, has repeatedly claimed that he has more about him than most sideshow competitors because he takes the crossover more seriously than anyone else.

And in his outings so far, he has certainly displayed more punch power than other celebrities, even if he has yet to face a bona fide threat to his side project.

Nonetheless, it seems unlikely the social media star would actually take on a capable professional in what would likely end his lucrative outings altogether.

Briedis has also recently been called out by WBO cruiserweight champion Lawrence Okolie, who wishes to unify the division before moving up to heavyweight.
