Johnny Fisher returns to action on December 6, live on DAZN, when he faces Herbert Matovu on a huge show in Monaco.
Up until the end of last year, Fisher looked to be on his way to heavyweight stardom before two fights with Dave Allen slowed his momentum drastically.
Last December, Fisher was a huge favourite in the first fight but after being dropped, he endured a tough end to the fight but was able to win on the scorecards.
Before those fights, Fisher was considered a serious prospect, and despite the defeat, he still wants to test himself against another heavyweight on the rise.
Moses Itauma is arguably the best young boxer on the planet, and after stopping Dillian Whyte in one round back in August, he is expected to push on towards a world title crack in 2026.
Itauma’s dominance in the heavyweight division has saw him build up a huge following, but Fisher would have no problem taking on the challenge if it presented itself after the Matovu fight.
“I’d love to fight him, 100%. I’ll fight anyone. Get him to get his cheque book out and I'll fight anyone for the right price. But I think Hrgovic would be a good match up for him,” said Fisher when speaking to Sportscasting.com .
“He can call the shots a little bit now, and he's a 20-year-old man. He's got plenty of time on his hands. He is in no rush at all. And I'm sure we'll be seeing him at the top of the heavyweight division for many years to come.”
