Fabio Wardley's eleventh-round stoppage victory over Joseph Parker sent shockwaves across the heavyweight world this weekend, to tee up a fascinating 2026 in the division.

The Ipswich star came from behind on the scorecards to force an intervention from referee Howard Foster and dethrone the WBO interim champion at London's The O2 Arena.

Victory for Wardley moves him into prime position for a bout with Oleksandr Usyk, with hopes that the Ukrainian will take his third undisputed bout in the first quarter next year.

But for Parker, it marks the biggest setback of his bid to become a two-time world champion, and leaves him with plenty to consider on his future as he considers other pathways.
