Things were right in front of Joseph Parker on Saturday from The O2 Arena in London, live on DAZN PPV. A win over Fabio Wardley and the interim WBO heavyweight champion would secure a crack at the undisputed heavyweight champion, Oleksandr Usyk.
Parker looked to be on his way to a victory heading into the 11th round as he was up on all three scorecards. But anything can happen in boxing, and it did as Wardley threw a barrage of shots with very few of them landing, but referee Howard Foster saw things differently and stopped the fight at the 1:54 mark of the stanza to capture the interim title.
