Joshua Buatsi blasted Zach Parker's tactics after he edged a controversial win in Manchester, and insists he will be ready for either David Benavidez or Anthony Yarde.
The Rio 2016 medalist appeared to be outboxed for the majority of his fight with the former British super-middleweight champion at the Co-op Live on Saturday night.
Parker, seeking the biggest win of his career, worked the outside of the ring superbly throughout, but frequently used his clinch to break off his opponent's momentum.
The tactic, which saw the star slip to the canvas on multiple occasions, frustrated Buatsi throughout, who was less than impressed with both it and the jeers at his victory.
"Is that a boo?" he said in the ring afterwards. "I must admit, it wasn't my best performance, but what do champions do? They win. Regardless of how it comes, you take it.
"I didn't know what style that was. You can't be on the floor six times and claim you won the fight. It wasn't my best performance, but it's good to get back to winning ways.
"I salute every fighter that has ever lost a fight and stepped in the ring again. I salute you. It's a big thing. It was a tough one [against Smith]. I hadn't lost for years."
The star, formerly the WBO interim champion at light-heavyweight, will now turn his attention to a likely title bout with either Benavidez or Yarde, who meet later this month.
"You know what's happening at the end of the month," he added. "I'll be watching. I'll make sure I stay ready for whoever is next. I got the win, so let's see what happens."
