Joshua Buatsi is eager to face Anthony Yarde before he decides to hang up the gloves for good.
Buatsi returns to action tonight live on DAZN when he takes on Zach Parker at Manchester's Co-Op Live.
This contest is a big one for Buatsi. Not only is it his first outing since signing a promotional deal with Queensberry Promotions, but also his first after losing to Callum Smith in February.
A win is imperative for Buatsi if he is to get straight back in the mix for the big fights at light heavyweight next year, and one name which will get the fans excited is Anthony Yarde.
A Buatsi-Yarde fight is one which has been demanded by British fight fans for years, but for one reason or another, a deal has never been made.
With both men now under the Queensberry promotional banner, the chances of this contest becoming a reality have dramatically increased.
However, while Buatsi has business to attend to this evening, Yarde has his sights set on another world title shot when he takes on WBC light heavyweight champion David Benavidez on November 22, live on DAZN.
When asked by DAZN News about the prospect of finally facing Yarde, it felt like it has become a chip on the shoulder for Buatsi who will be 'disappointed' if the contest never materialises despite being with the same promoter.
"It’s a fight where I’d like to answer those questions," Buatsi said.
"I’d be disappointed if it didn’t happen, we’re with the same promoter now so hopefully that is something that will happen."
