Moses Itauma to face former Anthony Joshua opponent in his next fight
One of heavyweight boxing's must-watch talents, Moses Itauma, will face Jermaine Franklin in his next fight.
The pair will clash on January 24, 2026, exclusively live on DAZN, in the main event of a Queensberry Magnificent 7 card at Manchester's Co-op Live.
Itauma is the talk of the boxing world and to many is a world heavyweight champion in waiting. His first round demolition of Dillian Whyte in August is still being talked about with the boxing world eager to see how his heavyweight journey plays out.

Franklin is no stranger to facing some of Britain's biggest heavyweight talents. In November 2022, he lost to Whyte by majority decision before facing former world champion Anthony Joshua five months later, a contest which he would also lose on the judges' scorecards.
Since those back-to-back losses, Franklin returned to winning ways and most recently fought on the Canelo Alvarez-Terence Crawford undercard in September where he beat Ivan Dychko in a 10-round affair.
Itauma's clash with Franklin will be supported by a further six exciting matchups with Willy Hutchinson facing Ezra Taylor in what will be bad blooded light heavyweight dust-up, and the return of former British middleweight champion Nathan Heaney who takes on Gerome Warburton the pick of the fights.

Moses Itauma returning in January will no doubt clear any of the post-Christmas blues, and while many will be hoping to see another viral knockout, he needs to get some rounds in the bank.
Itauma has not gone past the second round since a points win against Kevin Nicolas Espindola in July 2023, and if he is being steered towards a date with undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk, then Itauma's stamina needs to be tested.
Jermaine Franklin could offer the much-needed rounds Itauma needs to prepare himself for the toughest tests at heavyweight. Franklin has proven he can go the distance, and be awkward for the likes of Dillian Whyte and Anthony Joshua who are two men with explosive hands.
The question will be whether the American is ready for what will be coming from Itauma. He is one of boxing's deadliest punchers, and when Itauma lands, his opponents struggle to get back up after being laid out on the ring canvas.
