London, Zagreb, Riyadh: Where could Moses Itauma fight next after Dillian Whyte demolition?

Moses Itauma's statement peformance has the rising heavyweight star closer to the summit of the glamour division than ever before after stopping Dillian Whyte.

The Briton needed less than a single round against his countryman to get the job done in Saudi Arabia, and now looks set to fight again before the year is out.

Hopes of a title shot against Oleksandr Usyk were fanned by the star to his supporters in the immediate aftermath, but a lower-ranked foe likely awaits instead.

But just where might Itauma next step into the ring now he is a bona-fide headliner in his own right? DAZN News profiles the venues the star could top next.

The O2 Arena, London

The obvious shout for an Itauma fresh off a Middle East blowout is to build his brand further back home - and where better than in the heart of the capital city?

This multi-purpose venue beneath the Millennium Dome on the Greenwich Peninsula is no stranger to some old-fashioned smackdown heavyweight fight nights.

If Itauma's next foe ends up being arguably a class below what his team might hope for, he would still pack plenty of punters in for a show at the famed venue.

Co-op Live, Manchester

The newest outpost on the British scene after opening last year, the 23,500-capacity venue is the second-biggest in Europe after the Paris La Défense Arena.

Already, Co-op Live has welcomed its fair share of boxing to the Etihad Campus, ranging from local shows and stars to more recognisable British favourites.

If Itauma comes here, expect a slightly bigger name to help juice the sales - but don't be surprised if it's hard to get a ticket for the star even if that's not the case.

Zagreb Arena, Zagreb

An intriguing proposition Itauma is arguably yet to face in his career - what if he was to walk into the lion's den and prove his mettle against a home favourite?

If the prospect of Filip Hrgovic, who impressed on the Whyte undercard against David Adeleye comes to pass, then a trip to the Croatian's home city could work.

Homegrown backers may chafe at the idea of taking their newest star away from home, but it could offer a key learning curve for Itauma to further fortify his skill.

The Theater at Madison Square Garden, New York City

Plenty like to say you haven't made it until you break America - and where bigger in the boxing universe than the world-famous MSG itself in the heart of NYC?

Perhaps with a caveat to his stature on the other side of the Atlantic, Itauma could well be suited for a USA debut at The Theater's intimate surroundings instead.

A local foe - think Jermaine Franklin or Jared Anderson - could work, but with the venue busy throughout December, ithere are conflicts with Frank Warren's plans.

Kingdom Arena, Riyadh

If you're going to go big or go home to end the year, then what arguably seals Itauma's credentials as the future of heavyweight boxing more than this stadium?

In recent years, the Kingdom Arena has played host to the biggest Riyadh Season cards, with Oleksandr Usyk's duology against Tyson Fury fought on its turf.

It would be an ambitious sell - but if powerbrokers are certain Itauma is the one to watch, then they may choose to put their money where his mouth is with this one.
