Sam Goodman is loving life at featherweight, with coach Joel Keegan stating that it is his "destiny" to become a world champion as he prepares to face Nick Ball in Saudi Arabia.
The Australian challenges for the WBA featherweight title against the Briton on the undercard of Moses Itauma and Dillian Whyte's heavyweight clash live on DAZN Pay-Per-View.
Having been forced to twice pull out of a fight to challenge Naoya Inoue for the super-bantamweight crown, Goodman has now made the leap to a new class in pursuit of glory.
Speaking at Wednesday's open workouts, trainer Keegan says that his man is enjoying life with a few extra pounds to play with and will deliver on the night at Riyadh's ANB Arena.
"He's loved it," he said on the move up one weight division. "We're loving the extra weight. We feel good, we feel strong. We're not here to play around. It's this kid's destiny.
"We thought we were going to do it nine months ago, but we're going to do it now. Sometimes we'll be the bull, sometimes we'll be the bullfighter. We know how strong he is.
"We fully respect it but we've got the skills to deal with it. I think a lot of the questions are what Nick is going to do with us.
"I understand the way we fight may look like we're not strong, but ask anybody that has fought us and we've definitely got the ability to stand and trade with Nick."
Moses Itauma vs Dillian Whyte is live and exclusive on DAZN PPV this Saturday, August 16. Watch the PPV for free by purchasing a DAZN annual subscription (exc. US).
