Edgy Parker turns up the heat on Wardley at final press conference
With two days to go until the most important fight of their careers, Joseph Parker and Fabio Wardley went head-to-head in Thursday's final press conference.
The winner of Saturday's fight, live on DAZN PPV, will then be set to fight Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed world heavyweight champion.
With everything on the line it was intriguing to see how both fighters acted during their final say before stepping into the ring at The O2.
Both have been complimentary and cordial in the build-up over the last few months and while that tone reminded on Thursday there was certainly more edge to Parker's demeanour and words.
Wardley reminded confident and backed himself, but was the more self-effacing speaker. Parker, while still calm and respectful, was more aggressive with his words and looked more niggled, speaking only in short sentences to promise a victory.
