Ryan Garcia has enlisted the help of light-heavyweight world champion David Benavidez ahead of his bout with Mario Barrios.

The American will bid to realise his world title dream when he challenges for the WBC welterweight crown in Las Vegas next month.

Having lost his last bout to Rolly Romero, Garcia, who made a chaotic press conference performance on Thursday, is keen to make amends.

That begins with dethroning an opponent currently under the stewardship of his former trainer and cornerman Joe Goossen.

As he prepares for his blockbuster bout at the T-Mobile Arena on February 21, live on DAZN Pay-Per-View, Garcia has turned to another face.

In a video posted to social media, the star was seen training with Benavidez, the WBC kingpin at light-heavyweight, in the gym.

The star defeated challenger Anthony Yarde in November to retain his crown, but is expected to move up to cruiserweight for his next challenge.

Benavidez is expected to meet Gilberto 'Zurdo' Ramirez in early May and launch a bid to become a three-weight world champion in the process.
