Former Ben Whittaker rival in crosshairs for English star, with promise to make 'sparks fly' in encounter

Troy Jones has promised sparks will fly against Liam Cameron when the pair meet this weekend at Co-op Live, live on DAZN.

The duo clash on Saturday, November 1 at the Manchester venue, beneath a headline bout between Joshua Buatsi and Zach Parker. 

Jones was due to face Daniel Lapin before the latter withdrew, with Cameron instead stepping in after a duology with Ben Whittaker.

The pair played out a controversial draw before Whittaker secured a brutal win in the rematch, and Jones anticipates similar energy.

"Me and Cameron, there'll be sparks," he exclusively told DAZN News. "Of course they're going to fly. I want to make sure from my side.

"Points, stoppage or knockout, I'm victorious regardless. I'm going to put on a fantastic performance. Ben stuck to his boxing [in the rematch].

"He caught him with the shot, which he probably should have done in the first fight between them. [But] you build it up to be bigger.

"The energy of it gets to you a bit more but I'm more experienced now, and I'm confident I'm going to do a number on Liam Cameron."
