After losing to Teofimo Lopez last October, a cloud of uncertainty hung over future Hall of Famer Vasiliy Lomachenko.
Was the Ukranian going to bring his decorated career to an end or would he look to win the WBA, WBO and IBF titles for a second time?
The 33-year-old has opted for the latter and begins the road to another world title shot against Masayoshi Nakatani.
The Japanese fighter is a solid opponent for Lomachenko who will be expected to easily overcome Nakatani with superior skill, speed, timing and footwork. However, Nakatani’s height may prove a problem for the two-time Olympic gold medallist.
This could be a tough night for Lomachenko if Nakatani has the right plan of attack and can exploit any lingering shoulder issues the pound-for-pound legend might have, but it looks unlikely.
Here’s how you can watch Lomachenko vs. Nakatani.
The Lomachenko vs. Nakatani card takes place this coming Saturday, and the main bill of fights is set to commence from 22:00 local time.
Sky Sports will broadcast the fight in the UK, while ESPN+ will stream the fight in the US.
The card will take place at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.
