Josh Warrington looks to put a miserable 2021 behind him when he challenges Kiko Martinez for a world title tonight.
Warrington vacated the IBF featherweight title in January 2021 in the hope of high-profile fights in the division.
After taking a year out of the ring due to the coronavirus pandemic he attempted what was meant to be a tune-up fight against Mauricio Lara in February last year, only to suffer a convincing upset defeat.
Then in September the rematch was scored a technical draw with Warrington believing he had been short-changed by the decision.
Now he takes on the current IBF beltholder, Kiko Martinez. He beat the Spaniard back in 2017 but the champion is in the ascendancy.
Martinez beat Kid Galahad in 2021 to become the champion and will be making his first defence in Leeds.
Here is everything you need to know about Martinez vs. Warrington 2.
