Jesus Pinedo produces huge upset in PFL Playoffs

The 2023 PFL Playoffs got underway on Friday night and once again it was a night full of surprises and shocks. 

The biggest came in the main event when Jesus Pinedo knocked out number one seed Bubba Jenkins to reach the featherweight final. 

Pinedo started the contest with a one point deduction on the judges' scorecards after missing weight on Thursday, but that had no bearing on the contest with the Peruvian ending his clash in the second round. 

In the co-main event, number one seed Joshua Silveira secured his place in the light heavyweight final with a win over Ty Flores. Silveira's barrage of knees proved too much for his opponent which resulted the fight being stopped in the opening round. 

Gabriel Braga and Impa Kasanganay also reached the finals and will take on Pinedo and Silveira respectively.
