Jon Jones has made it abundantly clear during the buildup toward UFC 247: He respects Dominick Reyes' power and skills, but he just thinks the challenger is out of his league.
The light heavyweight champion will look to fight that feeling into existence Saturday night, when he defends his title against Reyes in the main event of UFC 247 at the Toyota Center in Houston. The card's co-main event has Valentina Shevchenko putting her flyweight title on the line against Katlyn Chookagian.
Jones enters the bout after spending 2019 further asserting that there are levels to mixed martial arts and a wide gap between his brilliance and that of his fellow light heavyweights. "Bones" did that by dominating Anthony Smith via unanimous decision in March, before having to put all his skills to use to get a split-decision verdict against Thiago Santos in July. Now, Jones (25-1, 1 no contest) will look to deliver Reyes a similar fate.
Reyes (12-0) vows that Jones will feel his power, as he has recorded seven pro knockouts, including his first-round destruction of Chris Weidman in October.
Will Jones make Reyes his latest victim, or can the challenger show the champ what "The Devastator" is all about? Either way, any time Jones enters the Octagon, MMA fans are bound to get a show.
That being said, here's how to watch UFC 247.
