Gabriela Fundora(Golden Boy/Cris Esqueda)

Gabriela Fundora is the youngest undisputed champion in the entire history of boxing. At only 22 years old, she claimed the flyweight belts for the WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO, and The Ring titles.

If you look up her name you will plainly see that every boxing publication is in agreement on one thing  - her skill holds up entirely too well to her name: “Sweet Poison”.

Tall, rangy, and in possession of a knockout power we’ve sparsely seen in the lighter divisions. she enters her bout with Corredor with beaming confidence.

At the presser, she looked over at Arnold and Kenneth and apologized in advance for how she’s going to steal the show on March 14th. Looking back at the crowd, she casually asked, “Who doesn’t like knockouts?”

Regardless of how early it is to call it, anybody would need that type of confidence going to war with Viviana Ruiz Corredor - the Goddess of War is the standing interim title holder and the stakes couldn’t be higher.

Both of these warriors know what’s at stake, and Fundora especially - she says this fight is: “For every little kid that’s gonna tune in Saturday, your dreams are possible. Anything is possible in life, it’s not just boxing. Anything is possible no matter what you wanna do. As long as you put the hard work in - you’re determined - you can go far.”

A purpose worth fighting for, and driving forces come in all types of dynamics. Corredor began her professional boxing career in 2021 at 38 years old - and now at 43, she's been blazing the path of doing what was once thought impossible - she's proven that she belongs in that ring with the best of them all.

Fights with conviction on both sides only promises for fireworks and a bout that will etch itself into your memory banks - and an inspiration for all up-and-coming women boxers.
