The FIFA Club World Cup kicks off in a matter of days, when all eyes turn to the USA for the exciting, newly revamped competition.
The best from across the continent will compete in the tournament, with the winner set to be deemed the 'best in the world' for the next four years.
DAZN News asked these former footballing names to predict who they think will triumph in the States this month.
"It's the first tournament of its kind, so it’s going to be interesting to see how it goes.
"You have some big European clubs involved in Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Man City, so I expect these teams to be right in the mix at the business end.
"It will be interesting to see the European Clubs face those from the rest of the world in Boca Juniors and Inter Miami, but I do think one of the top European teams will come out on top. With the depth of a team like Real Madrid, maybe they can come out on top!"
"I’d like to see Inter Miami now that they've qualified, because I'd like to see Messi in it. If he’s there with Miami, I’ll be supporting.
"The English teams, Chelsea and Manchester City, well, I still love watching Manchester City, so it’ll be City and Inter Miami that I’ll be gunning for.
"Chelsea are my old rivals, so I don’t really want them doing well, even though they’re an English club."
"I’m looking forward to seeing how Flamengo, Palmerias, Al Hilal Saudi, Boca Juniors and River Plate get on as they face a different type of club side they would normally come up against. Climate may be an issue as the tournament goes on and I don’t expect the European sides to have it their own way.
"But, looking at a winner, I do like Inter Milan. I was very impressed with them throughout the Champions League. They have a deep enough squad to compete and do well and become the first ever winner of the tournament."
"Well, I don't think it'll be a European team.
"Probably the better teams will struggle, because they’ve played too much football. It'll be a Brazilian team, it'll be an Argentinian team, whoever is fresher. It'll be somebody who doesn't play the level of football intensity every week, and can get rest. Probably a lot of teams who have not got international footballers.
"The freshest team for me out of the big teams will win."
"I think it depends on how hungry the players are to win the trophy, and there are others who have been hungrier for titles.
"I don’t think Chelsea are favourites, especially compared to Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and even Man City. I think they have the dynamics to win the trophy and make a mark."
"Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona could win it, they're two very strong contenders.
"But if they go with their reserve team, because their first-team players are knackered and tired and they need a break, then obviously it can be anyone's to win and could be a surprise team.
"I like PSG’s chances but it all just depends on how seriously they're going to take it."

"I'll obviously lean towards the European teams because I know more of them.
"You look at the likes of PSG, I think they've got Atletico Madrid in their group,so it's going to be a little bit difficult. Real Madrid, I think, has got a decent group. The thing for me is you don't really know much about the teams from Brazil, Argentina, all these types of places.
"That's why it's so interesting and it could be so open. But with my European head on, I'll have to say the likes of PSG again. If they go with a strong team, they've got a massive opportunity."
"I'm really excited to see this new format. And yeah, the exciting teams, obviously the English teams, I'm always excited to see.
"We know Real Madrid favours this type of competition, like the Champions League or the Club World Cup. So I'm excited."
“I would look at Real Madrid - they're desperate to win the Club World Cup because they want to be the biggest and the best and win everything all the time. They've obviously made their change of manager to prepare for it, and they've spent £ 10 million that they didn't need to on Trent Alexander-Arnold to get him in for the competition.
"They've not won La Liga, they had a poor Champions League by their standards, so this is a huge competition for them.
“But if Paris Saint-Germain want to win it, they’re the team everyone has to fear because of the quality they've got. They are a hungry side and they'd be my favourites to win.”
"Anyone who's watched Real Madrid in these tournaments will realise why they are so good at these club competitions,
"If you look at the forward line of Vinicius, Rodrygo, Mbappe – in a club competition, it’s a brave team that tries to go toe to toe against them when that forward line is what you’re up against.
"And if you decide that you’re going to defend deep, then the bigger problem is that they’ve got players that can carve you up with their passing as well.
"When you put all of that together with the amount of pace that they’ve got in the team, teams can’t compete against what Madrid have to offer."

"If I had to stick my flag to the mast if you like, I'm going to go Real Madrid or Manchester City. City need something to go into next season with, and Real Madrid, as the pioneers of the European Cup in the 50s, have always taken this kind of thing seriously as the 'club father' of the game, if you like.
"So Real Madrid or Manchester City, but keep an eye out for Flamengo, Botafogo or Palmeiras and Dark Horses, Al Hilal and Chelsea."
"There’s Dortmund, who’ve just got Jobe Bellingham, but I think you've got to put Man City in there. Real Madrid are in there. City and Real are there as the favourites. PSG will want to flex their muscles after being crowned European champions.
"The question for all the sides is whether they want to risk putting out their strongest elevens. They’re coming off the back of tough, tough seasons, but City especially have to win it. They’ve not landed a trophy this season, but so they need some glory.
"More than that, the sheer size of the prize money means they simply can’t ignore it. They have to go hard, even if they’re tired. City and Real would be my favourites."
"You've got to say PSG after the way they dismantled Inter Milan. In fact, the way they dismantled a lot of teams over the course of the Champions League.
"They were an outstanding, young, fresh, energetic team that had a little bit of gold dust up front. And for me, they look like the best team around at the minute.
"They’re the Champions League winners, so they’re the best in Europe and you’d probably say in the world, on that basis. They're going to be very hard to beat.
"But then obviously you're always going to have Real Madrid and Man City that are going to be in the frame too."
"As for your favourites, it will be the obvious ones. Maybe not so much Man City in the current climate, to be honest with you. I'd maybe remove them from favouritism.
"So, in terms of favourites, I think it would go for your Real Madrid and Bayern Munich teams."
