Premier League leaders Arsenal go for their fifth straight league victory on Saturday as they visit Bournemouth for both teams' first match of 2026.
The Gunners are riding a high after thoroughly dominating title challengers Aston Villa at the Emirates on Tuesday, which allowed them to reclaim some of the cushion that they lost atop the standings in recent weeks.
They also go into this match having lost their last two to the Cherries, so the motivation to leave the Vitality Stadium with three points will be high for Mikel Arteta's men.
As for Bournemouth, they have struggled mightlity since their bright start to the campaign. The Cherries have yet to win a league match after losing just once in their first nine, carrying a 10-game winless skid into Saturday's contest.
Bournemouth's most recent result was a 2-2 draw at Chelsea on Dec. 30 in which the Cherries took two separate leads and could not hold on to either of them.
DAZN News has all the information for Bournemouth vs. Arsenal.
Bournemouth vs. Arsenal will take place at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday, January 3, at 5:30pm GMT in the Premier League.
That means that fans watching in North America's Eastern time zone will be able to watch at 12:30pm ET, while kick-off on the West Coast is at 9:30am PT.
Andoni Iraola, Bournemouth
(via BBC)
"It is not going to be easy. They are the best team in the league defensively and there is a reason they are top of the league."
Mikel Arteta, Arsenal
(via Arsenal)
"I know Andoni really well and what he’s doing, I think it's incredible. I'm watching all the games that they played this season and against the top sides, how difficult they made it and how they haven’t got results against them as well is difficult to understand."
The win against Villa could mean that Arsenal have their mojo back, and they can ride that high against a Bournemouth side that have been woeful lately.
This is as good a time for the Gunners to get back to winning ways against the Cherries after back-to-back losses to them last season.
Prediction: Bournemouth 0-2 Arsenal
