Thirty-two teams from across the globe will head to the USA next week to compete in the brand-new, revamped FIFA Club World Cup.
The new format, akin to a World Cup or Euros, will allow for games between sides from all over the world, rarely seen on a competitive stage, as the best from Europe, North America, South America, Africa, Asia, and Oceania all descend on the States.
One of the standout ties from the Group Stage comes from Group C when German giants Bayern Munich take on the might of Argentina's Boca Juniors in Miami.
Someone who is no stranger to the biggest stage and biggest games is Edinson Cavani. Speaking exclusively to DAZN, the striker shared his excitement over facing the Bundesliga champions.
He said, "Look, group-stage games are going to be important as, from there, we can advance through the tournament, but considering the history of the two clubs, I think the game against Bayern will be a very special one.
"I think that’s how we’re going to experience the game, and I hope everything goes well. We'll do everything we can to make sure it all goes to plan so the team can perform at the highest level and put in a really good performance because you have to play really well against these big clubs to get a positive result."

The Uruguayan star has starred across Europe during his career, most notably for Napoli and PSG, and joined Boca in 2023, where he has continued to do what he does best by scoring goals. Yet, the 38-year-old is excited to play a part in the new version of the FIFA Club World Cup tournament.
Cavani added, "Competing in such a tournament is a new experience for me. Considering everything I have achieved in my career, to get to this stage and experience something like this is amazing, with a club that has a lot of history in these types of competitions.
"And by that, I mean Intercontinental Cups and other important trophies. So, for me, it’s an honour, and when the moment comes, we’ll enjoy it as we should, giving it our all.
"With a strong sense of responsibility, we’ll strive to uphold the club’s tradition of excellence on the international stage."
