As if the January transfer window couldn't get more hectic, there's still one last twist in the tail, as world-renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano exclusively announced the signing of the season...
Yoshi is now "Here We Go" confirmed to be joining the lineup for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and is set to make his stunning debut in cinemas this April.
In DAZN's exclusive video, Romano has revealed that the adored reptile, after much speculation and demand from the fanbase, is finally teaming up with the Italian legendary duo of Mario and Luigi.
Romano describes Yoshi as the ultimate all-rounder, hilarious, charismatic and heroic, as the defender-swallowing dinosaur embarks in Universal's latest adventure across the Mario Universe.
His agility and rideability are what drew the eyes of Mario and Luigi as they recognised the need for that extra turn of pace in behind, as the now fearsome front-three battle their fierce rival, the father-son duo of Bowser and Bowser Jr.
We've already received reports that Bowser, the King of the Koopa, has launched complaints to the MKFA (Mushroom Kingdom Football Association) over the current spending by the brothers from Brooklyn.
However, due to his recent actions, including breathing fire on opponents, managers, fans and teammates alike, it's very probable that these complaints will fall on deaf ears, leaving him to rally his Koopa Troop army to his aid.
This terrific trio will line up together, aided as always by the formidable Princess Peach and Toad, in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie in cinemas globally from April 1.
