The curtain is set to close on the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup with Chelsea taking on Paris Saint-Germain in a mouthwatering final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, but even before the tournament ends Gianni Infantino has already hailed the month-long football celebration as "an incredible adventure."
The FIFA president lauded the fans for their energy throughout the competition, and he singled out the landmark broadcast deal with DAZN as a "revolutionary" way to deliver the tournament to viewers worldwide.
DAZN and FIFA teamed up to stream all 63 Club World Cup matches live and free worldwide, and Infantino praised the partnership as a massive success for the sport.
"What an incredible adventure it has been over the last month," Infantino told DAZN pitchside at MetLife Stadium ahead of the Club World Cup final.
"Great games, great emotions, fans so happy from all over the world, enjoying themselves. It has been fantastic and an incredible success. It is a new golden era for global club football.
"We have started a great partnership with FIFA and DAZN. We wanted to do something epic for this tournament and we wanted the best partner ever to do it with. DAZN has been that best partner ever.
"It has been revolutionary for us. Streaming every single match in every corner of the world and for free. Football is for the people and it should be for free. They deserve to see the players and best football played and together with DAZN we have brought that to the people of the world."
DAZN is the official broadcaster of the FIFA Club World Cup, showing all 63 matches live and for free.
